How to Start a Search and Connect with Learners as a Coach
Connecting with learners as a coach is quick and intuitive. The search feature helps you find and connect with available users for direct courses via chat or video call. Here’s how it works, when to use it, and why it streamlines your sessions.
Step 1: Start from the Home page. Press Start Searching to begin looking for available learners.
Step 2: Once your search begins, it automatically appears for learners looking to join a session. Learners see your open search and can press Join to enter your lounge.
Step 3: When a learner joins, you’ll appear together in the lounge. Up to five learners can join a single lounge.
Step 4: Click a learner’s profile to view details or start a video call directly. If the learner accepts, your video call begins immediately. If not, the search remains open, letting other learners join.
Step 5: Track the search timer in your lounge. By default, your search stays open for five minutes, but you can extend it. Choose to add 5 or up to 30 more minutes as needed for more time to connect.
Step 6: The extended time displays on your lounge screen, giving you more opportunity to match with learners.
The lounge is your workspace for matching with learners, starting calls, and building connections. Explore search results and make real-time decisions about who to connect with.
Alternate Way to Start a Search
If you prefer, you can also start your search from the Community screen.
Step 1: Navigate to the Community page.
Step 2: Press Explore Lounge to view and start new searches.
Step 3: Initiate your search as before—learners will see and can join your session, just like from the Home page.
Starting a direct search makes building coach-learner connections fast and efficient. Whether you use the Home or Community page, you’re always just moments away from your next live session.
