Meet Shadi, founder of Taaly
Shadi came to the Netherlands in 2015, after the war in Yemen. In the asylum center he saw how hard it was for newcomers to practice Dutch and to meet Dutch people. He started with a WhatsApp group. That did not work well: it was hard to make appointments, and many newcomers were too shy to ask. So he built an app. In 2023 Taaly was born.
