How Taaly Jobs works, under the hood

A feature that handles people’s work and data should be able to explain itself. This is how Jobs works, step by step.

Where the vacancies come from

Vacancies are collected automatically every day from different sources, including employers’ own career pages. The employers are chosen because they are open to newcomers. Individual vacancies are not read by a person before they appear, which is why every vacancy carries a link to the original and a button to report a problem. The list covers the whole of the Netherlands and is ordered by distance: the ones near you first.

What the recruiter is

The Taaly recruiter is a computer program, and the app says so before you start. It asks a fixed set of questions in simple language: your work, your education, what you want to do, when you can start, how you travel, whether you have a BSN and your residency situation. Employers need those last two to offer a contract; the recruiter never asks for your BSN number, and you should not send your passport or ID.

What happens to an application

When you finish, Taaly saves your application. A person at Taaly reads it and works on it with you. It is not sent to the employer automatically, and never without telling you first. Prefer to apply directly? Every vacancy links to the original.

Privacy by design

You give explicit consent before the conversation starts, and the app tells you that people at Taaly read along. Everything is kept for 360 days after your last activity and then deleted automatically, including your CV. Delete your Taaly account, and it is all deleted immediately. The data stays on Taaly’s own infrastructure in the EU, in line with the GDPR.

Questions we did not answer here are probably in the Jobs questions and answers.
