Your first application with Taaly Jobs: five tips

Your first application with Taaly Jobs: five tips

Applying with Taaly takes about five minutes, and you cannot really do it wrong. Still, a few small things make your first application better. Five tips.

1. Start close to home

Jobs shows vacancies near you first, for a reason: travel is one of the most common reasons a job does not work out. Pick something you can reach, and be honest when the recruiter asks how you travel.

2. Read the vacancy, and ask

Check the hours and the place before you apply. Not sure what the job really is? Tap “Ask for help” and ask. Asking first is better than discovering later.

3. Tell about all your work

The recruiter asks if you have worked before. Work in the Netherlands and work in another country both count. “Cook, 2 years, in Syria” is a fine answer: the place does not matter, the experience does.

4. No CV? No problem

A CV is optional. If you have one, send it as a file or a photo. If not, your answers are enough. Never send your passport or ID, and nobody will ask for your BSN number.

5. Say honestly why you want the job

The last question is why you want this job, and a few sentences are enough. An honest reason beats a perfect one: a person at Taaly reads it, not a machine that counts keywords.

After you finish, Taaly saves your application and a person at Taaly works on it with you. It is not sent to the employer without telling you first. Good luck, and remember: looking is free, and you can apply as often as you want.
