Taaly and OpenEmbassy join forces on measurable impact in integration

Social Enterprise NL wrote about the partnership between Taaly and OpenEmbassy: a step towards more inclusive integration, with a shared framework to make the impact of language coaching measurable.
Two social enterprises, one goal
Taaly and OpenEmbassy met in the Omgaan met de Gemeente programme for entrepreneurs. Taaly matches newcomers with taalcoaches by level and interests and was helping around 600 newcomers at the time. OpenEmbassy helps newcomers find their way in the Netherlands and developed the Indicators of Integration framework, which lets municipalities track integration across different areas of life.
Impact you can prove
Taaly adopted that framework for a structured monitoring questionnaire in the app, so it can show what language coaching delivers and improve the app further. Taaly's results have since been externally validated with the OpenEmbassy Integration Impact Framework for 315 users.
The project was supported by NewBees, the Oranje Fonds and the Rabo Foundation.
“Together they achieve radical system improvement.”
