Taaly and UAF strengthen language support for status holders

Taaly and UAF, the Dutch foundation for refugee students, have signed a partnership. Participants in UAF's Taalversnellers programme get unlimited speaking practice with volunteers and an AI language buddy in the Taaly app.
What the partnership covers
Shadi Alhakimi and UAF director Mir Huisman signed the agreement. Taalversnellers participants practise without limits with volunteer taalcoaches and, from 1 April 2026, also have an AI language partner in the app, so they can always practise, even when no volunteer is available at that moment.
Faster to B1 and beyond
UAF guides refugee students and professionals towards study and work. Language level is often the bottleneck. By combining human connection with AI, Taaly wants to help participants reach level B1 and higher in record time.
“By combining human connection with AI, we make sure every participant always has a language buddy in their pocket. This helps to reach level B1 and higher in record time.”
